Game details:
FireSim is a virtual environment for simulating different aspects of fire fighting interventions and more specifically for designing, testing and improving future information technology for fire fighting.

FireSim is being developed by Fraunhofer FIT within the European research project wearIT@work and in collaboration with the Paris Fire Brigade. Part of the development has been done within a project seminar at the University of Siegen.

Currently, FireSim features the simulation of a navigation system for fire fighters based on an ad-hoc deployed sensor network and a wearable computing system. The environment is set at the training site of the Paris Fire Brigade.

Future plans include the extension of the environment to include about a square kilometre of a central Paris neighbourhood, and different improvements to the realism of the simulation.
